Winner Announcement Video
Thank you for joining our 8th Annual Music Madness!
Music Madness is our annual bracket-style tournament! This year, various songs representative of different musical periods will square off from February 24 to March 31! Students vote for the songs they want to see progress while analyzing the music and thinking critically.
Kick off the Tournament with Gwenda and Quaver!
How to participate:
- From your Teacher Dashboard, go to New Content to find this year’s audio playlist with all 16 songs, printable worksheets, and the original bracket. You can also search “Quaver’s Music Madness” in Resource Manager to find these materials if you’d like to build a custom lesson or assignment.
- We recommend teachers dedicate class time for students to listen to the songs and analyze the contenders with the provided worksheets.
- Students can then visit this page (QuaverEd.com/MusicMadness) to vote on their favorites. Students can use their personal devices to submit individual votes or teachers can submit votes on behalf of a class.
- At the end of each round, we’ll announce which songs will move onto the next round on this page and on the QuaverEd Facebook page. We’ll also provide an updated bracket and the voting form for the next round.
We recommend planning ahead with this schedule:
- Kickoff Video drops on February 24 (will be found in New Content and Resource Manager)
- First Round: February 24 to March 7
- Quarterfinal: March 10 to March 14
- Semifinal: March 17 to March 21
- Final: March 24 to March 28
- Announce the winner on March 31 on this page and on the QuaverEd Facebook page!
“My students absolutely LOVE Music Madness! I have my students fill out the bracket themselves before voting starts with their predictions for which songs will win. I keep track, and the students who have the most accurate brackets when the results are in receive a prize! This is something my students look forward to all year.”

- Fill in the boxes:
- Mood box – students can draw how the song makes them feel
- Dynamics box – students can mark on the scale which dynamic best fits the song
- Tempo box – students can write a word or draw something representing the tempo.
